Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy explains how ZM Studio Labs collects, uses, and protects information across all of our Android applications published on Google Play.

Introduction
ZM Studio Labs provides free and freemium Android applications available on the Google Play Store. This Privacy Policy is intended to inform users how we handle data across all of our apps.
By downloading, installing, or using any of our applications, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy. If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of our applications.
This policy is drafted in accordance with the Google Play Developer Program Policies effective January 28, 2026, including transparency requirements, permission minimization, and the latest Data Safety section guidelines.
Information We Collect
Our apps are designed to minimize data collection. Most of our apps do not require account registration. However, some data may be collected automatically:
- Anonymous usage analytics via Firebase Analytics (e.g., screen views, feature interactions)
- Crash reports and performance logs via Firebase Crashlytics
- Advertising data collected by Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network to display relevant ads
- Device information (model, OS version, language) for compatibility purposes
Any data stored on your device (e.g., favorites, settings, transaction history) remains on your device and is not transmitted to our servers.
Third-Party Services
Our apps may use the following third-party services, each governed by its own privacy policy:
Log Data
In the event of an error or crash, we may automatically collect the following data through third-party tools:
- Device IP address (anonymized)
- Device name, brand, and operating system version
- App version and configuration at time of error
- Timestamp and duration of app session
This data is used exclusively to diagnose technical issues and improve app stability. It is never used for marketing or sold to third parties.
Advertising
Some of our apps display advertisements powered by Google AdMob and Meta Audience Network. Both services may use your device's Advertising ID to show personalized ads.
- Compliant with Google's advertising policies and the IAB TCF 2.0 framework
- Opt out anytime: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
- On Android 12+, you can reset your Advertising ID anytime in Privacy Settings
- We use Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) to obtain consent for advertising in line with applicable regulations (including GDPR), shown on first app launch
- We do not sell your personal data to any third party
Analytics & App Performance
We use Google Firebase Analytics to understand how users engage with our apps. All analytics data is anonymized and aggregated.
- Screen views and navigation patterns within the app
- Feature usage events to understand popular features
- Session duration and retention metrics
- Country and device type (no personally identifiable location)
App Permissions & Data Minimization
In line with Google Play's 2026 permission minimization policies, we only request permissions that are strictly necessary for core app functionality:
- Internet access — to load content, catalogs, and display ads
- Storage access — to download files or save backup data you create yourself
- Notifications — to inform you of download status or reminders you set
We do not request contacts or precise location access unless strictly required by app functionality, and we default to the least invasive option available (such as the Android Contact Picker or one-time location prompts) per Google Play's latest standards.
Cookies
Our apps do not use cookies directly. However, third-party SDKs embedded in our apps (such as AdMob and Firebase) may use cookies or similar tracking technologies on the device to improve service delivery. You can manage these through your device settings.
Data Retention & Deletion
Since our apps generally do not require account registration, there is typically no server-side personal data tied to an identifiable user for us to retain.
- Any in-app data you create (such as expense records, favorites, or settings) is stored locally on your device and is retained only for as long as the app remains installed
- You can delete this local data at any time by clearing the app's data/cache through your device settings, or by uninstalling the app
- Analytics and crash data collected via Firebase is retained according to Google's standard retention periods (typically up to 14 months) and is not linked to your identity
- Advertising identifiers processed by AdMob and Meta Audience Network are retained according to each provider's own retention policy, as referenced in the Third-Party Services section above
If any of our apps in the future introduces account creation, we will provide an easily discoverable in-app option to request account and associated data deletion, consistent with Google Play's Account Deletion requirements, and this policy will be updated accordingly.
Security
We are committed to protecting your information. Our security practices include:
- All data transmitted over the internet is encrypted via HTTPS/TLS
- We do not store personally identifiable information on our own servers
- Local data stored on device is sandboxed within the app
No method of internet transmission or electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.
Links to Other Sites
Our apps may contain links to external websites or services (such as download links from GitHub or community file-sharing platforms). These external sites are not operated by ZM Studio Labs and we have no control over their content or privacy practices. We strongly advise you to review the privacy policy of any external site you visit.
Community Content (Catalog Apps)
For apps that provide community content catalogs (such as game mod catalogs), we clarify the following:
- The app is an unofficial companion app and is not affiliated with the related game's developer
- The content shown is community-created work shared free of charge
- We do not claim ownership of any third-party content displayed within the app
Children's Privacy
Our apps are rated 3+ or 13+ depending on the app, as indicated on each app's Google Play Store listing. We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13 years of age.
In accordance with the Google Play Age Signals API policy effective January 1, 2026, age signal data — where available from the system — is used solely to provide age-appropriate experiences within the receiving app, and is never shared with third parties.
GDPR — Your Rights (EU Users)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights under GDPR:

CCPA — Your Rights (California Users)
Under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), California residents have the following rights:
- Know what personal data is being collected and how it is used
- Request deletion of personal data we have collected
- Opt out of the sale of personal data — we do not sell your personal data
- Non-discrimination for exercising your privacy rights
We Do Not Sell Your Data
To be unambiguous: ZM Studio Labs does not sell, rent, or trade your personal or sensitive user data to any third party for monetary or other consideration. Data shared with service providers such as Google (AdMob, Firebase) and Meta (Audience Network) is used strictly for the purposes described in this policy — namely, app analytics, crash diagnostics, and advertising delivery — and is governed by each provider's own data protection commitments.
Device & Advertising Identifiers
Some of our apps may use Android's App Set ID for analytics and fraud-prevention purposes only. In accordance with Google Play policy, App Set ID is never used for ad personalization or ad measurement, and is never linked to your Advertising ID or other personal identifiers for advertising purposes.
Separately, your device's Advertising ID (AAID) may be used by AdMob and Meta Audience Network strictly for displaying and measuring ads, as described in the Advertising section above. You remain in control of this identifier through your device's privacy settings at any time.
Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the Google Play Developer Program Policies or other applicable regulations. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of our apps after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
